1. Information We Collect

(a) Account Information

When you register and use Astro Dhruv, we collect information including but not limited to your name, email address, phone number and password. This information is used to create and secure your account and provide personalized services. Providing certain information is optional; however, some features may require it.

(b) Service Data

In the course of using our platform, you may create and store data including but not limited to client profiles, birth details, consultation notes, session records, predictions, training progress, quiz responses, practice exercises, forum contributions, certificates and other platform activity. This Service Data is stored securely on your behalf and remains under your ownership and control.

(c) Usage & Log Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the platform. This includes but is not limited to IP addresses, browser type, device information, pages visited and time spent on the platform. This data helps us diagnose technical issues, maintain security and improve the platform experience.

(d) Payment Information

We do not collect or store any payment information on our platform. All payment data is collected and processed securely by third-party payment gateways.

(e) Communications

Information shared via email or support channels is used only to address your request and is not added to your account unless necessary to resolve your concern.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate and maintain the platform and its features
• Deliver training content, track learning progress and award certifications
• Process astrological calculations, charts and predictions on your behalf
• Process transactions and send related notices
• Communicate with you about your account, platform updates and new features

3. Data Ownership

Service Data you create and store on Astro Dhruv, including client records, session notes, predictions, learning progress and forum contributions, belongs to you. We do not claim ownership over any data you create or upload to the platform. You may request export or deletion of your Service Data at any time.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade or rent your personally identifiable information to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the platform, processing payments and delivering services. These providers access information only as needed to perform their functions and are obligated to maintain its confidentiality.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect our rights, or ensure the safety of our users.

5. Data Security

We employ reasonable industry-standard technical and procedural measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

In the event of a personal data breach or cybersecurity incident triggering a reporting obligation under applicable law, we will notify the relevant supervisory authorities and, where required, affected Data Principals within the timeframes mandated by law. Specifically:

• CERT-In (India): For cybersecurity incidents falling within the scope of the CERT-In Directive dated 28 April 2022 (No. 20(3)/2022-CERT-In), we will report to the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team within six (6) hours of becoming aware of such incident.
• DPDP Act (India): For personal data breaches governed by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected Data Principals in the form and within the timeframes prescribed by the DPDP Rules.
• GDPR / UK GDPR: For breaches involving personal data of EU/EEA or UK Data Subjects, we will notify the competent supervisory authority within seventy-two (72) hours in accordance with Article 33 of the GDPR (or the equivalent provision of the UK GDPR), and affected Data Subjects without undue delay where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to their rights and freedoms.

6. Your Choices

• Account Updates: You may access and update your account information at any time through your account settings.
• Service Improvement Opt-Out: You may opt out of your data being used for service improvement and development by writing to us at support@astrodhruv.com. Opting out will not affect your access to any features.
• Account Deletion: All information related to your account, including Service Data, will be deleted upon account deletion. You may request account deletion by writing to us at support@astrodhruv.com.

7. Third-Party Service Providers

We engage third-party service providers to operate the platform and deliver the Services. These providers access only the data necessary for their specific function and are contractually obligated to maintain its confidentiality and security. Categories of service providers include:

• Authentication and identity management
• Cloud hosting and database infrastructure
• Artificial-intelligence and machine-learning inference
• Payment processing (via gateway providers; we do not store payment-card data)
• Usage analytics and platform monitoring
• Geocoding and time-zone resolution

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), as a Data Principal you have the following rights:

• Right to Access (Section 11): You may request a summary of your personal data and the processing activities related to it.
• Right to Correction (Section 12): You may request correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
• Right to Erasure (Section 13): You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to any legal retention obligations.
• Right to Grievance Redressal (Section 14): You may raise concerns about how your data is handled by contacting us at support@astrodhruv.com.
• Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw your consent for data processing at any time by writing to support@astrodhruv.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before withdrawal.
• Right to Complain: If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

14. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy:

• Active accounts: Data is retained for the duration of your account.
• Deleted accounts: Upon account deletion, your personal data and Service Data will be permanently deleted within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.
• AI conversation logs: Chat messages and AI-generated predictions are retained for the duration of your account to provide conversation history and audit trail.

15. Children's Privacy

Our platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
